Life Flight

Story

In the year 2279, an ancient plague was released from the depths of Earth’s dwindling polar ice caps. It spread rapidly across the globe, laying dormant for months in the blood of humans and animals before suddenly bursting forth with murderous fury. Billions of the unknown infected found themselves on the verge of death within hours, with no hope in sight. Then, the Blood Runners came.

After a rare immunizing microbe was found in a small population of Martian colonists, volunteers were needed to transport what was now the Sol system’s most valuable resource - blood - to the desperate citizens of Earth. However, this delicate lifeform wouldn’t survive the stress of cryogenic freezing. It could only make the journey within the warm body of a living human.

You are a Blood Runner. Within your veins lives the microbe that will save thousands of human lives. You’ve been given a ship, and a small allowance to make the journey - but it won’t be enough. Marauders, wishing to steal your precious blood and cash in for themselves, block the path. Will you open your veins to improve your ship and make your journey less treacherous, or will your maximize the lives you can save when you return home - at the risk of losing it all.

Objective

Complete all levels as efficiently as possible to preserve your life. Buy power ups along the way to make things easier.

Mechanics

1. Move with WASD
2. Aim with the mouse
3. Shoot guns with LMB
4. Guns use your health as ammo
5. Kill all enemies to beat a level (don't kill yourself first)
6. Shops appear between every level
7. In shops, your remaining life is used as currency to buy upgrades
8. Don't forget to also use your life to send things back home to your family
